When Bayern won Tottenham 2:7 in London a lot of people laugh, everyone thought there's something really bad in Spurs, when they won Red Star 0:6 in Belgrade no one took it serious because Serbian club is cannon fodder in Champions League, but now when they trashed Catalan giant Barcelona with one of the best players in the world of all time Messi with 2:8 we must ask ourselves why is Bayern Munich so dominant this year ? It's not coincidence and for sure it's not crazy high money spending for new signings. Here is what I think about this topics:

Great fitness

I don't know about you, but when I look at Bayern I think those players could run all day and not get tired. German clubs are well known for great fitness for long time. I saw difference long time ago when German coach Lothar Matheus was coach of Partizan Belgrade. He introduced some methods from American Football in training sessions. Our players were never so fit since I watch football. They are simply stronger and more fit than opponents.

Players can play on different positions

A lot of Bayern players can play equally great on different positions in team. Having players able to do that is big advantage because you can change formation and style of play when you want.

Passing perfection

They pass so good that their balls look like GPS navigated missiles. This is pure perfection.

Shooting perfection

When they beat Tottenham I saw one big difference between teams. When they shoot on goal from around 16m those shots are missiles which are going in corner of goal near the post while when Spurs are shooting from similar positions ball goes wide, over or right in hands of keeper.

Unpredictability and diversity in attack

When you build play if you are to predictable other side with learn your patterns and easily block you, but with Bayern you never know what they plan to do. When you think they will cross in the box, they cross backwards to around 16m, when you think they will shot, they pass, when you think they will cross their left back will make fun of you and dribble you like school boy or send you on your back in 5m before he pass for touch down. When you play in line they will send you ball over you to make 100% chance, when you play deep defense they will find hole again... At the end Barcelona players didn't know what are they doing despite a lot of them participated in defending.

For the end I must say that I can't remember when I saw stronger football club which plays better football and yes it's possible to make one without crazy spending on transfers if you work with players right and if you have great scouting and academy behind you. Karl-Heinz Rummenigge, sport director Salihamidzic and coach Hans-Dieter Flick made goal machine never seen in history of football.

I hope they will play against Manchester City in semi final and against PSG in final. That is going to be football for heart and soul.
