Barcelona are one of the best teams in the world right now. Many legends of the game have originated from here. However, the team is facing a crisis. There have been crucial mistakes with respect to their transfer policy and money management. Lets look at 5 ways in which Barcelona can be restored to their glory.

1) BRING IN AN EXPERIENCED MANAGER

Since Luis Enrique, the team has never been the same. The team is currently capable of lifting only the domestic title. Average managers have taken the role and failed miserably. Barcelona needs the likes of experienced managers such as Guardiola, Xavi or maybe Pochettino to take the club back to where it belongs.

2) LONG TERM INVESTMENTS

Barcelona currently have a squad full of players above 30. The likes of Rakitic, Vidal, Suarez, Pique, are past their prime and need to be replaced with players who will be at the club for a long term. Investments that will come in handy for a long term need to be made to keep the future bright.

3) DON’T RELY ON MESSI

Messi has always been a key figure at the Blaugrana. However in recent times, the team has looked lackluster and lost without him in the starting 11. The team relies on the Argentinian international to deliver in every match which is not always possible consider his age. The board needs to find an ideal candidate to be his replacement which is not going to be easy but certainly seems possible.

4) LA MASIA

The Catalan giants have one of the best youth academies in the world. Yet, the board sees an urgency to splurge cash on players who aren’t compatible with that level of football. Barcelona needs to produce more quality players for the future. Players like Ansu Fati and Riqui Puig are the highlights of the quality of La Masia.

5) REBUILD

Liverpool started rebuilding from 2015 and now, the team has won the Champions League and the Premier League in the space of a year. Barcelona will need time and the fans patience will be crucial in such cases. It will take another 2 to 3 years for Barcelona to finally challenge for the pinnacle of football i.e. the UEFA Champions League.
