Real Madrid midfielder Casemiro believes Cristiano Ronaldo is more deserving of this year's Ballon d'Or than Luka Modric. He feels Ronaldo has done a lot of extraordinary things over the past year, and deserves the award of the best player in the world once again.

Casemiro's opinion is different from his team mate, Isco, who supports Modric to win Bllon d'Or. Isco felt Modric had a major role in helping Madrid win the 2017/18 Champions League, also played an important role in bringing Croatia to the 2018 World Cup final.

Previously, Modric had won the Golden Ball World Cup award, as well as the UEFA Best Player of the Year. The two awards will be more complete if accompanied by the Ballon d'Or. But Casemiro considered Ronaldo to be even more intense throughout last season.

Still the best

Casemiro admitted that Modric had passed an extraordinary year. He believes Modric deserves the award he has won. However, for the Ballon d'Or, Casemiro believes Ronaldo is more feasible.

"I will give it (Ballon d'Or) to Cristiano Ronaldo because he has been the best throughout last season," Casemiro said from fourfourtwo.

Bad start for Cristiano Ronaldo

This season, Ronaldo underwent a new round in his career with Juventus. If Ronaldo was able to give his best performance with Juventus until the Balon d'Or was announced in December, it is likely that he will get the award back.

However, it seems that Ronaldo's hopes will not be easily realized. He had difficulty adjusting to Serie A football. Ronaldo's first goal arrived in the fourth game.

In addition, Ronaldo has just experienced a nightmare in the Champions League. Shown on his debut match with Juve against Valencia, Ronaldo just had to leave the field faster because he received a red card in the 29th minute on Thursday (9/20) early morning hrs earlier.

Ronaldo's performance is very likely to affect the Ballon d'Or's competition later.
