The Footballjunky view

Jadon Sancho's move to Old Trafford has been long coming.

After tailing the winger in the whole of last summer, trying to get Dortmund to knock down the staggering £108m they slapped on the England international, United have finally succeeded to get the deal over the line.

Though Dortmund were determined to hold out for £85m for Sancho this summer, United impressively managed to get them to settle for £73m.

For United fans, however, getting Sancho to sign for the club has always been a priority.

Last summer, that failed to work out; this summer, things took off a little too slow, but they finally nailed it.

And with the 21-year-old winger now in the Red shirt, it's the best deal of the year as they prepare for the 2021/22 Premier League season.
