Alan Shearer made his feelings very clear about Newcastle's poor transfer performance this summer. However, viewers got a little more reaction than they expected.

Towards the end of Alan Shearer's argument, he uttered: "at least we now know where all the money went" hinting the fans anger with Mike Ashley's business choices. Newcastle owner Mike Ashley has recently acquired the failing department store House Of Fraser for £90m this week. There are no claims that Mike Ashley used Newcastle funds for the purchase nevertheless Alan Shearer believes the move "sums the football club up under this order" (BBC, Match Of The Day). His damming comment was followed by an awkward straight look down the camera.
