In the 2018 winter transfer market, Liverpool actually had an interest in Hoffenheim's midfielder Kerem Demirbay. However, Jurgen Klopp failed to bring him because he suffered a prolonged injury.

Despite having failed to bring him to Anfield Stadium, Liverpool, in fact, did not give up trying to bring Demirbay. The Reds reportedly will again try to hook him.

Even technically, the opportunity to be able to bring in players with German nationality is very wide open. Because Demirbay is in the same agency as the two Reds players now namely Sadio Mane and Naby Keita. That, of course, paved the way for Jurgen Klopp to bring Demirbay.

Even so, the Reds don't seem to have the chance to take Demirbay to Anfield Stadium in the 2019 winter transfer market due to Hoffenheim coach Julen Nagelsmann reluctant to release his flagship player in the 2018/19 season.

However, Liverpool could have made a serious offer for players who have Turkish descent after the 2018/19 season ended.
