HAPPY CONGRATULATION UNION BERLIN for promotion to the Bundesliga.

One man's meat is another man's suffering. While Union Berlin and thus Berlin Köpenick and all those who hold it to the "iron" celebrate, Stuttgart and the Schwabenland are in a doomsday mood after the third relegation in the club history of the VfB.

The Super-GAU has entered. Those who thought that the 2016 relegation was a slip of the VfB Stuttgart, were proved wrong yesterday, Monday, in the relegation return match. Once again, VfB has to go into second place within a short time.

But how did it come to this? The goal before the season was clearly the European business, at least the Europa League. The investments made in Stuttgart before the season were intended to underpin and manifest this claim. But since yesterday we know that all these investments were no guarantee for success. An analysis of the Swabian squad clearly shows that this is not a second-rate squad. With players like Ziegler, Gomez, Didavi and Castro as well as Badstuber, Gentner and Aogo to name but a few, you CAN't relegate.

Tayfun Korkut was a coach at the beginning of the season who had just missed the Europa League weeks before. After a few games that didn't bring the hoped-for results, he was fired and replaced by Markus Weinzierl. Markus Weinzierl is also not known as a coach who relegates with his teams. But even under Weinzierl, who was not very popular among the fans in Stuttgart, the results were not right so that he was also prematurely suspended.

Team and squad as well as coaches cannot necessarily be classified as relegated. So what are the reasons for the second crash?

From an objective point of view, it seems that the problems in Stuttgart are at the top management level. Again and again, there were reports of quarrels in the board of directors and the supervisory board. Players who earned their money in the past repeatedly complained about the Stuttgart leadership or even resigned from office (see Guido Buchwald).

Too little sporting or football competence and too much personal vanity prevailed. From an objective point of view, decisions were often not comprehensible. The decline of the proud VfB has not only been observable since last season.

Too often in recent years, the team and the club fell short of expectations and many coaches came and went just as quickly. No constancy, no realistic self-assessment and no further development of the structures were to be seen.

The receipt was served in 2016 and now also yesterday evening. The relegation was deserved, not because of the two relegation matches, but because of the whole past season.

A stay of the VfB in the Bundesliga would have been an affront against the third of the second league, who in turn played a good season in the House of Commons and deserved to be promoted.

Yesterday evening was therefore only the logical consequence!!!!!

The German Bundesliga lives from its tradition and the tradition of its teams. Clubs like Stuttgart, Hannover, Nuremberg and the HSV, Cologne or KSC and also teams like 1860 or Kaiserslautern belong to the Bundesliga. They are among the big names in German football.

In the past, however, there have always been smaller clubs that have made the leap into League 1 because they have scouted and managed better. Since Monday evening, the Bundesliga has been enriched by one of these clubs - UNION BERLIN.

For the traditionalists at the top, the rule is to do their homework, consolidate and rebuild, and most importantly

Practice DEMUTE and accept the present to successfully shape the future!!!!!

But apart from that we can expect a 2nd Bundesliga season which is epic and full of traditional teams.

Bye
