Danish Football Association (DBU) is definitely making today’s headlines with their shocking decision to exclude first-team players from the main squad ahead of games against Slovakia and Wales. Even more, Danish officials picked up the number of semi-professional footballers from third league and futsal players to pack the first team. The reason for such scandalous dispute is centered around commercial image rights – Denmark star players are willing to sign individual sponsorship deals with any brand they want while DBU are setting regulation that forces the players to sign deals with limited set of sponsors.

As negotiations between DBU and player’s union are still in progress, next round of talks have been postponed after the international games. National squad manager Aage Hareide will take charge of the semi-professional team he didn’t really pick. What the helvete, man.
