Probably most unutilised Chelsea player Michy Batshuayi agreed to join Valencia for the one season loan as Blues once again decided to offload striker. Belgian spent latter half of the 2018 at Borussia Dortmund doing quite well by scoring 9 goals in 14 appearances before the ankle injury, but new Chelsea manager Maurizio Sarri informed Michy that he still will not be guaranteed a first-team practice. That’s really weird choice by Italian as he left with just Alvaro Morata, Olivier Giroud and Tammy Abraham ahead of his debut EPL campaign.
- Batshuayi appeared in West London in 2016, coming from Marseille for €39 million
- He scored 11 goals in 25 appearances for Chelsea
