While trio Modric–Rakitic–Brozovic naturally bossed the ground, Henderson–Lingard–Alli was fruitless against their opponents. Not a secret that Gareth Southgate made Jordan Henderson an integral part of his squad around which he built the team – well, that’s the case. Henderson is just not that universal player as coach wants him to be. We predict no bronze for England.
