The Birmingham City fan who invaded the pitch and knocked Aston Villa's Jack Grealish on Sunday has been reprimanded and given 14 weeks jail term. His act did not only land him a jail term but also a 10-year ban from football matches.
The 27-year-old invader was also fined £350 and is hereby prohibited from watching games in the United Kingdom for the next ten years.
This is not the first time players invade the pitch but this physically assaulting a player is just absurd. Things would have gone worse if he actually used a weapon Jack Grealish instead of a punch.
Most times, players invade the pitch to take pictures with a player or have a dialogue with them but punching a player is what I haven't seen happening in football.
Even though security officials provide greater protection to avoid things like this, it can't be completely eradicated. Trolls like this are part of those who create side dramas on the pitch and make football more interesting 😁
No one still knows the reason why he actually did that but it could just be that he placed a bet with a fellow fan that he would do it and it landed him into jail😁
