The game between Kano Pillars and Enugu Rangers resulted in mayhem this evening by angry fans. Kano Pillars were leading one goal to nil until Rangers FC later equalized through a penalty in the 98th minute.
During the injury time, Kano Pillars fans invaded the pitch and tried to assault the referee for awarding a penalty for Rangers FC but the referee was protected and whisked away by the security. Not only fans instigated violence but some players of Kano Pillars also joined too
The player who instigated the violence should be sanctioned or fined while any other players involved should be reprimanded too, and whichever team had its fans invading the pitch must face sanctions too
From the video footage, you can see Kano Pillar's fans destroying advert boards and ready for war.
