English pundit Paul Ince has shared his thoughts on the probability of Manchester United landing Norwegian striker Erling Haaland. According to Ince, he believes the probability of Manchester United sealing the deal has potentially been reduce due to the action of Roy Keane some years back.

Roy Keane's action in 2001

During the Manchester Derby in 2001, Roy Keane pulled up a tackle on Erling Haaland's father. A very physical tackle that he gave the referee no option but to send him off. The rivalry between Roy Keane and Haaland's father can be dated far back as 1997. Ever since then, it became a clash of titans whenever both parties came up against each other.

Paul Ince's statement

From Ince's view, the last place Erling Haaland's father would expect the striker to play is for the Red Devils. First, considering the fact that he played in a rival Manchester team. As a second point, the tackle from Roy Keane had a great impact in the career of Haaland's father. With these reasons, it would be hard to see the Norwegian dawning the jersey of Manchester United.

Despite the clear intent from Paul Ince, it would be wise to remember that in the game of football, anything is possible.
