Sometimes I keep asking myself who is going to retire first between Ronaldo and Messi given that the eternal comparison and rivalry between these two players still lingers

Even at 35, Ronaldo is still very fit and still keeps working day and night to remain relevant at his age. Even at 35 he's still far better than many young players who are still at their prime. Looking at Ronaldo, it doesn't look like he's going to retire in the next two to three years. He's a very competitive player who keeps doing everything he can to outshine Messi. Even if he doesn't get a contract extension from Juventus when this one expires, he can easily move to a lower league

As for Messi, I don't think he's going to retire and watches Ronaldo still remain relevant, that's not going to happen. He's still very agile and performs well given his age (33). He probably won't leave the stage while the ovation is loud and would remain in Barcelona till he's not needed there anymore

Both players could end up like the likes of Ibrahimovic, Buffon and Roger Miller. They will probably play football until they end up irrelevant, and their retirement would have a very close margin

What do you guys think?
