Just when you think you've heard it all, another bizarre thing happens again.
Super Eagles Coach, Rohr fell into the hands of pickpockets when he went to watch Aiteo Cup final between Kano Pillars and Enugu Rangers on Wednesday. This is a match that will go down the history of African tournament as one of the greatest comebacks.
In case you didn't watch the match, let me quickly brief you about it.
The final match started with Kano Pillars leading 3-0 till 74 minutes before the unimaginable thing happened. Barely 16 minutes to the end of the game, Enugu Rangers came from three goals down and was able to pull a draw before going to the extra time and then penalty kick. Kano Pillar fans couldn't believe their eyes when Enugu Ranger did not only equalize but won 4-3 during penalty.shoot out
After the match, Rohr was said to be heading to the exit door when his pocket was picked. According to him, on his way out of the stadium, many people were trying to make their way out of the stadium and before he knew what was happening, his mobile phone and immigration documents were missing.
Rohr has been appealing to whoever stole his wallet and documents and has promised to handsomely reward anyone who can return those items. The coach has said that Nigeria still has many friendly and qualifying matches in the next few weeks and he won't be able to work if those items are not returned.
I know that things like this are not inevitable but it can be prevented. Assuming there's an entrance and exit door for VIPs, such a thing wouldn't have happened. This is not a good thing at all and I hope whoever stole his documents should return it. Even if the pickpocket is afraid of being reprimanded for returning it, he can find a way to drop it at the nearest police station because those are vital documents no one would like to lose.
What do you think about this disgusting act by a pickpocket disguising as a football fan?
