After almost four decades, we will be seeing Tanzania participate at the 2019 African Cup of Nations which will be holding in Egypt from 21 June – 19 July
This was made possible by Nigerian former player, Emmanuel Amuneke after they defeated Uganda 3-0 on Sunday after a 3-0 victory against Uganda
Nigerian former player, Emmanuel Amuneke who happens to be their coach has been given some accolades for making this feat possible for them. On 6 August 2018, he was appointed as Tanzania national football team head coach and barely a year of his appointment, he helped them broke the jinx of not participating in AFCON for 39 years
Tanzania finished second in the group L qualifier with 8 clear points while Uganda tops the group with 13 points. Now they're headed to participate in the 2019 African Cup of Nations and I hope to see a good performance from them
