Barcelona winger Ousmane Dembele is eyeing a move away from the Catalan side. According to reports, the Frenchman hopes to conclude a deal before the January transfer deadline on Monday. From the statements made by Barcelona, they would be willing to let Ousmane go for a fee around 18 million Euros.

Currently, two unnamed Premier League teams are said to be interested in the Barcelona winger, although nothing official has been made yet.

Previous interest from Newcastle

Cash-flowing Newcastle had previously been reportedly looking towards Dembele's direction. However, they were discouraged by his weekly demands as reports had it that Dembele would be looking at a weekly wage of over 210,000 euros, which is far above what Newcastle would be willing to give out for his services, hence, an official deal was not made.

Dembele's stand

For the time being, Dembele has discussed his stand with Barcelona manager Xavi Hernandez, and according to the Frenchman, despite not agreeing terms with the Catalans, he would still be open to training with the team. Dembele is making it a priority to remain in top shape ahead of his move to a new club. In other not to make himself a liability.
