You must have observed that there are usually too empty seats since the beginning of the 2019 African Cup of Nations and if I could remember, the last AFCON didn't have a ridiculously low turn out like this one

In a long time we are seeing another African Cup of Nations with a very poor attendance and anybody that has watched most of the games played so far in the ongoing tournament should be bothered at the sight of the empty seats

During 2013 AFCON hosted by South Africa, there was also a low turnout when CAF sold tickets between $30 to $100 while South Africans pay far lesser than that in their local leagues but this isn't the case this time.

In his going tournament, there usually more than 70% empty seats even when the giants of Africa are playing their matches, and I must say that this ridiculously low torn out is nothing but embarrassment to the African football

Even when Egypt, the host nation are playing, one would think the whole seats should be filled up but It was also marked by large swathes of empty seats in stadiums.

While some people think this could be traced down to poverty or low interest of Africans in the tournament, I think VISA rule was the main problem. Egypt failed to compromise and grant free VISA for football fans and supporters

Assuming they granted free VISA entry for fans and supporters upon fans identification documents, we wouldn't watching a Nations Cup void of fans and supporters
