In June 2018, Zidane announced his decision to step down as Madrid coach a few weeks after winning the 3rd consecutive UEFA Champions League title for the club.
Following his resignation, Madrid have been struggling in both league matches and UCL. They're currently sitting at the third place in the league table and this a long time we saw Madrid eliminated from the round of 16 at the UCL
Immediately he left Madrid, he thought he would be a hot cake for European clubs but things didn't happen the way he thought. The only option now let for him is to return to Madrid since he had no choice than to grab the offer.
I have heard many football fans criticizing Zidane for such move. To them, Zidane's return to Madrid is like going back to his own vomit and he's probably going to flop this time compared to how he performed remarkably before
