On the other hand, Luca Modric won the title of FIFA Best Player of the Enlightened Event held in London, after defeating his teammate Ronaldo and Liverpool star Salah.
Along with that, Belgian Goalkeeper Thibaut Courtois, who was recently elected to Real Madrid, became the best goalkeeper of the year. But like Salah, he did not get anywhere in the year's FIFA Best XI. Instead, De Gea took the place in the fifa best XI.
