Turkish Super League leader Başakşehir has just been eliminated by Spor Toto 1. League club Hatayspor. The first game was 1-0, Başakşehir won. But in the second leg Hatayspor won 4-1 and go to the next round. This is such a failure for Başakşehir.
It's interesting to see that Başakşehir, which conceded only 10 goals in 18 league matches, conceded 4 goals (3 in same half) in this match against a weaker opponent.
Hatayspor just got promoted this year to 1. League and they are going pretty good at their league. Still this doesn't explain how that happened. Abdullah Avcı must be shocked. I wonder what did he say in locker room after this tough loss.
Now they will only focus on Super League so that may be better for them in the long run.
