Speculation is mounting that Newcastle United are about to launch a bid for Benfica's young Portuguese striker Goncalo Ramos with transfer guru Fabrizio Romano saying The Magpies are making the marksman their no. 1 transfer target:

The 6ft 2in 21-year-old front man recently scored in a friendly against The Magpies, opening the scoring with a header from a corner in The Eusebio Cup:

and Ramos has plundered 33 goals in 99 games for Benfica's A and B teams as well as a further 14 in 18 games for the Portugal U21 international side so is a hot prospect known for his aerial ability, all round game, work rate and eye for goal so would provide excellent competition and cover for Callum Wilson and Chris Wood.
