Tottenham Hotspur will go head to head against Chelsea in the first leg of Carabao Cup semi finals at their home, Wembley. These two sides last met on 24th of december where Spurs came out winners defeating Chelsea 3-1. Spurs have been good this season but they have lost games against the lower ranked teams at times and they are currently sitting at number 3 on the points table. Chelsea on the other hand have had a mixed season, like Spurs they have also lost few matches which were their's to loose.

TOTTENHAM HOTSPUR

Tottenham last faced a defeat at the hands of Wolves even after getting the lead. However Spurs have been really good barring that defeat. They have won six of their last seven games and they have been scoring a lot of goals in the process. Before their defeat to Wolves they scored 11 goals in two games and 10 goals in two matches after their defeat to Wolves. Their goal scoring ability has made sure that their fans are entertained to the fullest and they will hoping to see this match as a goal scoring fest.

The have a set of very capable front line which include the likes of Harry Kane, Son Heung-Min, Christian Erikson and Dele Alli. Each one of the have scored goals this season. But Harry Kane and Son look to be in form and they will be the key men for Tottenham ahead of this match. Harry Kane has scored six goals in last five matches signalling a return to the form. Son on the other hand is at his best, all he knows is scoring goals and scoring a lot of them. He will stay for a while before he leaves for Asia Cup and he would love add a few more goals to his kitty before leaving.

CHELSEA

Chelsea have lost one and drawn one in their last five matches. Their last defeat came against Leicester just before the Christmas. They were also involved in a frustrating draw against the Southampton. Chelsea should have done better this season looking at the capabilities of their players but for some reason they haven't been able to make impact. They can however turn the tables anytime and this match might be the start they need.

Eden Hazard has been their best player for a while now and he has been scoring some goals lately. He now has four goals in the last three wins which include a double against Watford at Watford on the boxing day. After a few patchy months, Alvaro Morata has started scoring again and he will be a key player in this match if he gets a start.
