Is he ready for Manchester United? Source: www.express.co.uk

Gone are the days where football players played for the honor of the club they found themselves in. in the world we find ourselves in, most players play with just two goals- to help their career and to ensure that they play for the best teams in the world. While this is perfectly fine and acceptable as each player would have to choose for themselves how they want to play out their football careers, it is still quite debatable at what time to make that move to a bigger club. This is the situation in which Aaron Wan-Bissaka finds himself.

The move to Manchester United has been announced with much glee and excitement as fans of the Red Devils would no doubt be happy to welcome one of the best right backs in the premier league to their team. However, it has not always been this way. Wan-Bissaka's rise to the top of his game was non-existent a year and a half ago when he could not even find a slot in the Crystal Palace's line up. It is therefore surprisingly as how fast his footballing career has soared in recent times and now, he is probably going to playing for the most successful club in England. However, was it a move that was made too soon?

Truth be told, Wan’s tackling is second to none in the English Premier League and his interception rate is simply out of this world. However, it has just been a season played since his breakthrough and this storyline seems really familiar. Many players have made the move to bigger clubs at this point in their career and that move had practically ended what would have looked like a promising career. Developing a little further with Crystal Palace would have been an ideal situation. It would also have aided his development which would leave him better prepared for the vigors that come with playing for one of the best teams in the world.

So while the excitement would probably continue to the beginning of the season, it remains to be seen just how long his potential would last and whether his story would be any different from history. The truth though remains that as it stands, it is a wonderful piece of business for Manchester United and his destiny is firmly in his hands.
