Manchester United has proven to Chelsea that even in their lowest state are a tough opponent to deal with. Football is something fascinating and sometimes unpredictable. However, in certain scenarios, we come up with conclusions that might be accurate based on experience and the psychological impact of some matches.

Chelsea has not been able to crawl out of the Red Devils shadow for a long time. Even when United is experiencing a bad season they still manage to beat the Chelsea team or sometimes keep them at bay. Yesterday head to head between the blues and the Red devils was another case study.

Though Chelsea started vibrantly and hoping to extend their lead on the table, Man U stunned them with Sancho netting the ball in the 49th minute after a defensive error from Chelsea's Thiago Silver. A counter-attack that put Man U ahead of the game. Chelsea fought back and was lucky to get a penalty thanks to the same Thiago silver who worked it out.

The Game

Chelsea was obviously the stronger team and controlled every aspect of the game but in the end, they were unable to produce any result. Again Chelsea is locked in the shadows of Man United and finding it had to edge them in the premier head-to-head competition. For the last six matches, Manchester United has been the better side as regards the results.

Chelsea's biggest error was not converting their chances. Odio could have given Chelsea the lead in the first half of the game but wasted the chance. Likewise, Chelsea had many chances against Man U but was not able to convert anyone.

Going into the second half, the blues continued the attack but after the ball was cleared from United territory, a control mistake from Chelsea defender Thiago Silver throw the ball into the hands of Sancho who wasted no time to convert it immediately. This made it difficult for Chelsea to secure the three points at Stamford Bridge. The decisive shot was in the hand of Rudiga at the last minute, and he wasted it right in front of United's yard box.

They only fought back to equalize but certainly, they couldn't win the match hence sharing the point with a weak Manchester United side.

Conclusion

The premier league title is keenly contested among the three giants - Chelsea, Man City, and Liverpool. Despite Chelsea being the league leaders, dropping points could be very damaging and unfortunately, that s exactly what happened. For the blues to stay leaders they have to make sure they win most of their subsequent matches.
