It is officially over for Arsenal in the Europa League following a tackled goalless draw at the Emirates stadium. The gunner hosted Villarreal in the second leg of the semi-finals, only to be held to a draw, and saw Villareal qualifying for the finals of the Europa League.

Although, no one expected anything special Arsenal has been having tactical composure of late in their previous domestic games. The chances of edging Villareal were very slim. They had suffered a 2:0 setback at the Estadio de la Ceramica.

They eventually secured an important away goal as Nicolas Pepe found the back of the net as a consolation goal for flaws been displayed. But they still have a lot of work to do. Arteta's men knew they had one shot to qualify for the finals.

Many had expected that Arsenal would try to find the back of the net. They couldn't achieve that and level up against the opponent. Probably also went ahead to win the trophy.

Arteta had admitted they have to embrace the challenges and opportunities the game will bring. Unfortunately, they couldn't play up to expectations.

Villareal on the other will be facing the Red Devils of England - a formable and so far very outstanding in the game.
