Okay, I take back my words...

It was a show of intentional efforts displayed by the blues against the visitors, Norwich at Stanford Bridge. Interestingly, I already knew Chelsea is winning the game, considering the level of effort and quality of games they are playing lately. I just didn't see a 7 to anything trashing their opponent suffered today.

About the game

With Chelsea star strikers Ramelu Lukaku and Timo Werner out of the game due to injury, they both suffered playing against Malmo. There were concerns as to whether Chelsea will be able to keep up. Although the Midfield is solid, Kante is likely not going to play which makes it a little shaky.

Although Norwich is the weakest team in the Premier League, the feeling is that it's not going to be an easy ride for the blues given their disadvantages. But Tuchel had other plans in mind. He gave a smart line up and to the amazement of fans and everyone all over the world, Chelsea had their best performance in years.

Yes! it's been a very long time ago Chelsea played with such amazing composure, quality, competence, with smart and accurate passes, total control of the midfield, attacks, and converting of most of the chances created. For many, Chelsea is the underdog- who gets the game going when the odds are against them- but that wasn't the case today, Chelsea practically proved to be more than an underdog, instead an efficient force to reckon with. Honestly, today's game wowed me personally.

Norwich couldn't help the situation. They were up against a side not just formidable but are the league leaders. Anything can happen in football, yes, that's true, but certainly not in this case for Norwich. They couldn't have expected a different outcome, perhaps the outcome was more than they expected. Lolz😉

Chelsea dominated from the beginning to the end. Netting three goals in the first half only to add four more in the second half leaving the visitors with nothing.

The players

These guys proved to be true champions of Europe today. They played an excellent game. Totally in control and ensuring every loophole is consciously checked and prevented. Thanks to Mason Mount, Odoi, and James that secured the first-half goals. Mount has his first hat-trick for Chelsea which is an incredible feat for him.

I loved the quality of the game they showed. If they keep up like this, especially against stronger opponents, Chelsea is likely to be unstoppable this season. I hope to see them play more games like this.

Chelsea continues to lead the league table with 22 points, closely followed by Man City with 20 points. Congratulations to the blues.
