In the beginning, it was almost certain for the blues to maintain a competitive advantage in the top 4, perhaps optimistic to win the league. In fact, for most of the part, they maintain the league leaders for a long time until they slipped in their last encounter against West Ham United which ultimately force them down to the third position. Although still among the top three contenders, the blues are apparently the weakest team.

Although Chelsea came from behind to win 3:2 by a thin line, Today's match against a much weaker Leed City United is a prove of how vulnerable the Chelsea team is. This ultimately reveals that the team is not in form enough to match the likes of Liverpool and leader, Man City.

About the Game

Chelsea welcomed the visitor Leed City to Stanford bridge for matchday 14 brawl. The visitors, though, a much weaker side quickly pick form against the struggling Chelsea team and started pushing hard on them.

While Chelsea struggled to balance the game and create a leveling ground for equal play, the visitors maintained their tenacity not to give the home side breathing space. Their efforts eventually paid off as they took the lead in the fourth minute. Lee's city's Patrick Bamford rounded Mendy to send the ball into the back of the net.

As Chelsea struggle to get the game in control, the lack of comport made Timo Werner miss a glorious opportunity to equalize from a point-blank position. In the 27th minute, Olivier Giroud converted Reece James' cross to level game as Chelsea's Jorginho sent the ball into the back of the net from the soot twice to claim victory.

Comment of the Game

Chelsea obviously won the game however it was nowhere a deserving victory. The visitors mounted pressure on them claiming the possession, passes, well-strategized, well-focused, well informed than the blues.

If not for their stupid mistakes and lack of defending experience in the yard box, they could have come out the better side. Chelsea defender Antonio Rudiger keeps getting in front of the ball within the box to draw out Leed defender's lack of experience. It worked, as they foolishly continued to commit against him and freely gave Chelsea chances to add more goals from the spot.

Also, the rate at which Chelsea concede goals is traumatizing. We are no longer looking at a contender side, but a struggling underdog Chelsea team.

Tuchel needs to rework his tactics and usher in innovative strategies. Because it is so obvious his strategy is no longer effective and even the weakest of teams already understand how he plays.
