After a disappointing run of result against Chelsea and Arsenal in the premier league and a shambolic display against Instanbul Basekshehir in the UCL, United went into the game against Everton desperately in need of a good result to boost confidence and take pressure off their manager and they were able to achieve that with talismanic figure Bruno Fernandez at the heart of it all.

After going one nil down thanks to an early goal by Brazilian winger Bernard, United fought back and were able to get into the game thanks to a header by Fernandez who rose the highest to connect with a pinpoint cross from look sure before giving United the lead with what looked like a cross for Rashford.

Under pressure at the closing minutes of the game, United broke out on a counter and Bruno set up Cavani with an inch perfect pass for the strikers first goal for Manchester United.

The game ended 3-1 with united picking all three points.
