Football fans didn't have to wait for so long before the football returned to the grandest stage, the UEFA champions league. Two months down the line after the close contest between two of Europe's heavy weight PSG and Bayern in the final of the competition hosted at Benfica's estadio sports Lisboa in Portugal, fans have been treated to a new season of the competition with some very interesting fixtures in match day. One of the standout games in the first round of matches was last season's runners up PSG hosting Man United in Paris and indeed the game lived up to the hype with United coming out victorious.
As we get set for match day two, fans are already salivating to the prospect of seeing two of the greatest players of their generation Cristiano Ronaldo and Lionel Messi go head to head in a clash of Titans. Juventus are looking at the possibility of being without top scorer Cristiano Ronaldo as he has tested positive for the Corona virus but will be anxiously waiting for his next test result which if negative will clear him to be part of what promises to be an epic encounter.
On the other hand his counterpart Messi has not been his most prolific self this season but his talents are undeniable and can always show when given the slightest opportunity. With one goal so far this season, the argentine would be hoping to increase his tally and kick start his season.
