Norwegian journalist and former footballer Jan Aage Fjortoft has claimed that Manchester united made four bids to Borussia Dortmund to secure the signature of England winger Jadon Sancho and bring him to the theater of dreams.
He made the claim when speaking to transfer window superstar journalist Fabrizio Romano yesterday on his weekly podcast. The talks of Sancho leaving Dortmund was the biggest saga of the transfer window with the German club refusing to accept a bid of less than 110 million euros from the English club.
In what was believed to be a transfer that Manchester united would get through the line by the end of the transfer window, lots of their fans were left disappointed with the inability of their club to pay what the German side were demanding. Manchester united insisted they were not going to over pay for any player especially with the world finances taking hit due to the covid-19 pandemic.
