The super eagles of Nigeria threw away a four goals lead in an African cup of nations qualifiers against Sierra Leone in their group L encounter earlier today in Nigeria. The super eagles who started the game dictating proceedings rushed to an early lead through Alexander Iwobi, star striker Victor Osimhen doubled their advantage before the Everton winger got his second of the night and young forward Samuel Chukwueze made it four goals to nil for the Nigerians all under thirty minutes.

The sierra Leoneans pulled one back before the end of the first half and got a second on the seventy fourth minute, Victor Osimhen was taking off due to what looked like a serious wrist injury and Paul Onuachu came on in his place.

The sierra Leoneans mounted pressure on the eagles defense and got a third and then the equalizer before the ninety minutes mark. Nigeria still remains top of the group with seven points after three games and would be hoping to wrap things up when they visit their Friday's opponents in Freetown.
