Cristiano Ronaldo has lifted the lid on a key factor that made him leave Real Madrid  for Juventus.

Ronaldo left the Bernabeu after nine years earlier this summer , joining Juventus in  a  88 millions of euro deal last month .

It came just weeks after Ronaldo had netted a stunning overhead kick in Turin in the Champions League, earning a standing overation from the home crowd.

The five-time Ballon d'Or winner went on to help Real to their third European Cup in  a raw, beating Liverpool in the final.

But that was Ronaldo's final act in a Madrid shirt with the 33-year-old sealing a move to Juventus soon after.

And the Portugal captain has revealed that the reception he got for his brilliant goal in  April was a factor in  decidingto move to Italy.

'' I felt surprised at the beginning '' Ronaldo said in  an interview with JuventusTV.

'' I am  used to following Juve  and i like the club, but since that moment i liked them even more''.

'' I wont say it w as the key point in my decision, but every detail helps.Maybe of course, it helps when you see  the people like you,the supporters and club like you, the feeling is completly different''.
