Southhampton manager was sacked in the early hours of today as a result of the club's poor season run that has condemn them to number 18 on the log. The United legend was relieved of his job immediately after the draw against United on Saturday. Mark Hughes was devastated after his side threw away a 2-0 lead within the first 20minutes of the first half only to rap it up with a 2-2 draw at the end of first half stretching through full time, thanks to goals from Lukaku and Herera. The club has only won a game once in this term accumulating a total of 9points compared to their last season performance. The club cannot afford to relegate which necessitated a sack of the manager.

The club has mandated the Assistant manager Kelvin Davis to take charge of the team for their next match against Tottenham in midweek pending a shuffle for a replacement. Their next match would be a battle as the Spurs are on fire regardless of their loss against Arsenal on Sunday. This club expects the interim manager to turn things around as they gun for a new manager.
