Antonio Casano declared his retirement as the second time. It has been only five days since he trained at the Vertus Entella, a third-division club.

Casano was the representative striker of Italy. Casano, who made his professional debut in Bari, played for AS Roma and Real Madrid. Since then, he has been playing with various clubs including Sampdoria, AC Milan, Inter Milan and Parma. Although he was so talented that he was called "the talent of the devil," he was caught up in rumors as he displayed a vicious temper in and out of the stadium. He also failed to adjust properly to his team.

After playing in the Sampdoria in 2016, he announced his retirement. In July 2017, he announced his intention to return to Italy after a short training session with Hellas Verona. He returned to the third division but announced his retirement.

Casano announced his farewell through Italian journalist Pierre Luigi Fardo. The reason why he chose to retire is that he no longer has a strong mind to live as a soccer player.

"I realized in the last few days of training that I was no longer in a steady state of training. You need passion and talent to play soccer, but you need a firm determination. Now I have other important things. Start the second half of my life. I am filled with curiosity. It's burning to prove to myself that I can do it without the help of my feet."

The last greeting was full of gratitude. People around him, even those who argued with him, and thanked him for the football he loved.

"I appreciate all my friends, colleagues, opponents, coaches and directors, and even those who had an argument with me. Above all, I would like to greet my fans whether it was on my side or on the other side. Because soccer cannot exist without them. Soccer gave me so much. It allowed me to meet incredible people, great champions, and everyday people. He led me on the street and made me a family and made me really happy."
