Jannik Vestergaard had a great time in Southampton this season and he has been on the team main squad. Southampton have come down to earth again after a terrific start to the season and have actually had a pretty weak 2021 so far. But Vestergaard has maintained a high level and he is now rumored to be moving away from the club.

Mourinho is interested in the 28-year-old due to a great season and since Jannik Vestergaard contract with Southampton expires in less than 18 months there should be a possibility for Tottenham for signing him for a better amount.

Jannik Vestergaard came to Southampton in 2018 from Borussia Mönchengladbach for around €22 million. The Danish national team player has this season played 21 matches in the Premier League.
