Like always, if you think I am wrong, you can bet against me (up to 50 SCR). Just write your conditions in the comments section.

The Champions League returns after three weeks to make mid-week exciting again. A lot of world-class matches will be played in this round, including the epic between Juventus and Manchester United at Old Trafford. It's always lovely to see star players coming back to play against their previous clubs, but Ronaldo is not just a star - he is the star.

On top of that, we might expect a goal fest between Napoli and PSG. I am also sure that Barcelona and Inter will treat us with some magic as well. So, buy some snacks, get some beer, place some bets, and enjoy the show.

Talking about bets, here are the best picks I found this week. You can thank me later (I do accept SCR as a gift):

Manchester United - Juventus

My bet: totals goals over 2.5 @2.06

I have no idea what are the bookies thinking. In my eyes, the odds for over should have been somewhere around 1.6-1.7 Manchester United are terrible on defense so far this season, and Jose Mourinho is still looking for his perfect centre-backs pair. I do have a secret to tell - there is none. Manchester United's centre-backs are terrible, and they will stay this way until Jose Mourinho (or whoever replaces him) gets some money to spend in a transfer market. This reason alone is enough to expect at least a goal if not two from Juventus.

Despite still sucking at defense, Manchester United are much better when it comes to attacking right now. A few weeks ago many fans would have loved to see Martial go. Today, after he scored three goals in two games, he is fans' favorite again. And he deserves that, especially after a brilliant second half against Chelsea. On top of that, we can always expect Pogba, Lukaku, or any other attacking MU's player to rise to the occasion. There is no reason to believe that MU won't score at least one goal in front of their fans after a couple of wonderful games. I am still skeptical about MU in general, but they are showing signs of resurrection, and if Jose Mourinho wants to keep his job, he needs a positive result against Juventus tomorrow.

I pretty convinced that we will see at least four goals in this match so anyone who loves risk can opt for over 3.5

Real Madrid - Plzen

My bet: Plzen to score @2.2

Real Madrid have not played so terrible for over a decade now. I have written an article about how they don't need Ronaldo after their win against AS Roma three weeks ago. In those three weeks, Real Madrid lost four games, got won victory and played a scoreless draw against Atletico Madrid. So... I guess I have to take my words back - Real Madrid really miss Ronaldo. Of course, many people will say that Real Madrid will be angry and will destroy Plzen, but that is not how football works. At the moment, Real Madrid play like my local village's team, and they are out of ideas. Those things don't change in one day. Those things are systematic.

Of course, the fact that Ramos and Marcelo are both fit to play tomorrow won't add any value to this bet, but even with them, 2.2 is way too much. I would say it should have been maximum of 1.85, all things considered.

As for Plzen, I don't know this team at all, but it looks like one of those teams which keep winning their local leagues just to lose 6 times in Europe. That said, I am not betting for Plzen, I am betting against Real Madrid. I am sure that Plzen players are well aware of the situation in Real Madrid, so they will play with double energy to maybe score (or even win) in Santiago Bernabeu. Wouldn't that be amazing?

Hoffenheim - Lyon

My bet: total goals over 3.5 @2.33

Hoffenheim are one of the most interesting teams to watch if you are new to football and think that the only good games are the ones with many goals. In their last 11 games (two friendlies), Hoffenheim never left the pitch without scoring at least one goal. Sadly, they conceded at least one goal in every game as well. I don't think that there is any other team in the Champions League which is more attacking orientated than Hoffenheim.

Lyon love to attack as well, and they have the right players to do that. The worst thing is that Fekir won't be able to play tomorrow because of the injury, but Lyon is full of great players who can replace him. After all, much worse teams scored against Hoffenheim this season. From the standings perspective, Lyon won't need to win this game so they might choose to give the possession to Hoffenheim, which are in a desperate need of 3 points. I do expect to see a lot of attacking football from Hoffenheim while Lyon will wait for their chances on the fast breaks. For this bet to win, a fast goal would be ideal - it would open up the game and make both teams forget about the defense.

Of course, there is always risk involved when betting for over 3.5 goals in a match because many teams stop playing football and simply wait for the end when the score is 3-0. When the score is 2-1, one team usually goes to a defensive mode and try to protect the score. That said, I don't think that we will see any of these normal scenarios in the game between Hoffenheim and Lyon as both teams rely on their offensive game style.
