UEFA target August for all competition to be concluded

Claiming not to have given official approval to all leagues to be cancelled because of the coronavirus outbreak, UEFA are looking forward to holding a meeting with all 55 association with is scheduled to take place on Tuesday. UEFA still hope that all competition can be concluded as scheduled which is before the end of the month of August.

UEFA may also disrupt clubs from qualifying for next season's competition if they do not return to action and keep up with the deadline.

Talks have emerged that German League are to resume training alongside some other few countries but restrictions to prevent the pandemic.

What do you think about this step by UEFA? Are they doing the right thing or risking the lives of the players and officials?

The floor is open for your contribution.

Jose made me stronger, Rashford claimed

"When I look back at it, it was a tough period but definitely a period that made me a better player".

Jose Mourinho took over Manchester united as their head coach in 2016 and left in 2018. During his time as the head coach of Manchester United, I endured a "tough period" claimed Marcus Rashford and that turned out to make him a "better player".

Rashford was played out of his prefered position which is playing as a centre forward. He was played out wide in the flanks while the likes of Zlatan and Lukaku played through the middle.

Rashford scored 28 goals and had 20 assists to his name under the regime of Mourinho and that prepared him towards making him a better player. Now Rashford is enjoying his time under Ole and he has registered 19 goals in all competition already this season before he picked up an injury.

Should we agree that Ole knows the game than Mourinho or Rashford is just being lazy under the regime of Mourinho?

Arsenal issued pay-cut to players and staffs

It was announced at the Emirates that Arsenal had issued a 12.5 per cent pay-cut to their first-team players and top staffs of the club due to the coronavirus pandemic in order to meet target while supports are continuously shown to the people and the community. This pay-cut deal has been agreed to by the majority and even some junior players and only a few are yet to comply.

Arsenal also assured the team that if targets are met in the nearest future, the 12.5 reductions will be paid back.

My concern is that if the remaining few are not willing to agree to pay-cut, what do we say about clubs like West Ham and Southampton who are deferring the payments of their players?

That's all for today on AJ's sports ride show, see you soon.

I remain my humble self;

Ajala Junior
