The expansion of Liverpool FC stadium, Anfield, has been placed on hold. This proposed expansion by the management of Liverpool FC has been placed on delay due to the coronavirus pandemic and this is delay is reported to stand for at least one year.
The proposal for the expansion was meant to be submitted this spring and works is meant to be completed in 2022 but with the delay, the project will have to wait for almost another additional year which will automatically extend the finish date to early summer in the year 2023.
The expansion is meant for the addition of 7000 seats which will total the future capacity to 61000 seats.
