Arsenal midfielder Mesut Ozil expressed his sympathy for the victims of the Lombok earthquake disaster which has continued to fall in recent days. Last Sunday (5/7), at 18.46 WIB, an earthquake with a magnitude of 7 SR shook the coast around East Lombok, West Nusa Tenggara.
The epicenter of the earthquake is 27 km northeast, or 8.37 LS / 116.48 BT. After that, aftershocks continued to shake Lombok until Monday morning. The vibration even felt on the island of Bali and parts of East Java.
The latest, the National Disaster Management Agency (BNPB) said that 98 victims died, all of them Indonesian citizens. The majority of casualties were hit by collapsed buildings because they could not escape. Victims are also most commonly found in North Lombok, which is adjacent to the epicenter of the earthquake.
Various sympathies and helping hands continued to come to help Lombok residents. One of them is Mesut Ozil. Through Twitter's social media, Ozil said he was surprised to hear the bad news about the Lombok earthquake. He also said he would bring the victims in his prayer. Ozil feels close to Indonesia because he continues to get support in his difficult times.
