The international break is already here and will be till next week before league football resume.
England lost to Czech republic today and it's a match that brought them back to reality. They were favourites to win the match but wasted the opportunity.
The loss showed that Southgate still has a lot to do. They have the brightest youngsters out there and losing this kind of match is kind of funny. You need to get this youngsters together. They need to produce results if you want to win any international trophy. A 3rd place in the Nations league and a fourth place finish in the world cup is not good enough for a team of England quality.
Southgate is doing a good work with England and it is hoped that they finally win something this coming years.
Portugal brushed aside Luxembourg in their group B Euros qualification group B game. Portugal dominated the game and they got a well deserved win. Luxembourg never looked like getting anything from the game. They lost the game due to some defensive errors and were duly punished.
The win ensures they are on track to qualify for the Euros 2020.
They will hope to retain the Euros again.
While the international break is looking interesting, it is still not a substitute for league football. I can't wait for league football to come back.
