Solskjaer post as Manchester united manager is under threat every passing day. He is not looking to turn Manchester united fortunes around anytime soon. He is still the head coach mainly because he’s a former Manchester united player and the season just started. Imagine there are 15 matches left in the season and Manchester united are languishing in 12th position.

I believe Solskjaer will be sacked probably before January. There are some heavy defeats he will suffer that will see him creating a number of unwanted records. Manchester united will want to look for a new coach and I have compiled a list of some of the favorites to land the job.

Mauricio Pochettino

The Argentine will be the favorite to land the Manchester united job is Solskjaer is sacked today. He is doing a great work with Tottenham and I think he will definitely be the first person Manchester united will call.

Tottenham are currently going through a rough patch but we have to look at the past. They made the Uefa Champions League final last season reflecting the good work he has done. He is the type of Coach that Manchester united need. An attacking manager who is not afraid to take risks. Look at Spurs when they attack, fluid and very sharp. He will definitely improve Manchester united. He will turn Manchester united to Sir Alex Ferguson era as head coach. The fluid counter attack by Cristiano Ronaldo, Park Ji Sung, Nani, and Rooney was one of the best then and most Manchester united fans will relish the opportunity of seeing such again.

Pochettino is currently having issues at Tottenham with many rumors spreading around. Who knows if he will resign and take up the Manchester united job? Time will tell.

Brendan Rodgers

The Northern Irish man is another man that could replace Ole Gunnar Solskjaer at Manchester United. He had a good stint at Liverpool and continued the same with Celtic in Scotland. He won everything in Scotland and he is back in the EPL to battle with out with other top coaches. He is the current manager of Leicester city and they are doing well so far.

Leicester city are currently 4th in the league standings and are just 2 points from 2nd place Manchester city. He was employed after the sack of Claude Puel and he has been great so far. He lost just 3 matches out of the 10 matches he was in charge last season. He has picked up from where he stopped this season by losing just 2 games in 8 matches. Leicester are now playing a fine attacking football and he is the architect of that.

He is young and will be on Manchester united radar if they are unable to get Pochettino.

Who do you think can replace Solkjaer if he is sacked as Manchester united manager?
