Football rules is dynamic and improvements are made every now and then.

One of such improvement is the use of technology to improve the gameplay. The goal line technology is one great improvement that prevents cases of Frank Lampard ghost goal. Once the ball crosses the line, the referee will automatically know via vibration by one of the wearables and award the goal. It's instant and without delay. The other technology is the use of VAR Video assistant referee.

Var has divided football fans worldwide. Many prefer the old model where the decision is made by the referee and his assistants. Others prefer a sort of second check. Var has been successful so far and also controversial so far.

There have been numerous mistakes that Var missed either intentionally or unintentionally. Var promised perfection but it has been far from perfect.

The Real Madrid Vs Club Brugge game is a very good example. Sergio Ramos goal is a clear offside goal and the initial slow motion replay showed it. It went for VAR review and the goal was given. It's very shocking that even with VAR, there is still errors made.

There is also the case of the linesman raising the flag to signify offside. They have been told to wait and atleast be sure before raising the flag for offside. Manchester Vs Arsenal is a very good example. Aubameyang scored a goal from Bukayo Saka pass despite the fact that the linesman already raised the flag for offside. Imagine if Aubameyang stopped play. The VAR is there to check this things. It was later revealed that Aubameyang is very well onside for the goal.

VAR still need to be improved. The implementation, check, and decision making need a whole.lot of work. There are inconsistencies in VAR review so far and that should change.
