'Zlatan, don't do auditions'
It's now famous how the boy of only 17yrs bluntly refused to do a trial for Arsenal's then coach Arsene Wenger. He travelled to London for an appointment with Mr. Wenger who asked him to begin an "audition". This triggered off something in Ibra and he retorted including the famous line "I don't do trials". The boy insisted it would be tantamount to a waste of his time to engage in a test-run activity on Arsene's request when he already felt like the strongest of all in his mind and he felt Wenger didn't really know him and thus didn't really want him. He thus moved on and Ajax signed him immediately. Well that was back in the year 2000. Things have changed a lot since then– for example Ibra is now a fully grown man of 39yrs breaking records still playing at the highest level of football at this "obscene" age and Arsene Wenger made records with Arsenal and has since been eased out of the job. That move to Ajax began a streak of eight consecutive league crowns(not just for Ajax), as first installment of what would come. He has gone on to win 31 trophies in his career, scored over 570 career goals, including more than 500 club goals, and has scored in each of the last four decades. In 2015, UEFA ranked him as the best player ever not to have won the UEFA Champions League. So he's going to make another appearance in the Champions league since the last he made in 2017 with Manchester United, where he became the first player ever to represent seven different Champions league teams. This time he is turning out for the mighty AC Milan, one of his former clubs. The interesting thing however, is that all the European clubs he has played for are also participating in this year's Champions league. Or in Zlatan lingo, "all the European clubs that have played for Zlatan will be participating in the Champion's league this season."😁 Cheers
