Cristiano ronaldo 34 scored his first champions league goal on 10th April 2007 against Roma in a 7-1 whitewashing four years after his first Champions League debut for Manchester United in 2013, so on the 10th of april 19 he took his tally to 125 in 161 appearance against Ajax in Amsterdam. """""""""""""""""""""""""""""""""""""""""""""""""""""""""""""""""""""""""""""""""""""""""""""""""""""""""""""""""""" Fastest Hat trick in Nigeria Professional Football League As one of the faithful follower of the Nigerian League, we have seen a number of brace this season but no one cross the hat trick huddle until last week NPFL reschedules fixture and Sunshine Stars played host to Lobi Stars on Thursday 11th April 2019. They are waiting were able to hold Sunshine players for 78 minutes, in which at this point most bookers were now seeing a possible draw but Chibundu Amah, yes that's the name that gave the scoreboard a different look as he hit a quick 8 minute hat trick as the goals came rushing in at the 79', 84' and 87 minute of play to give the hosts team the needed three points at the expense of Lobi Stars of Makurdi at they suffer their heaviest defeat of the season. The vaseline and egg 10 in favour of lobi stars at the Aper Aku Stadium Makurdi. The star boy of the evening came off the bench to replace captain Abbey Sunday who was injured, so I can say that was a blessing in disguise. Chibundu's hat trick was the first hat trick witness in the NPFL this season. This win was actually their first win since a new bus was being given to them by their State Governor. His 8 minutes hat trick was historic as it marks the fastest hat trick in the history of the Nigeria Professional Football League. """""""""""""""""""""""""""""""""""""""""""""""""""""""""""""""""""""""""""""""""""""""""""""""""""""""""""""""""""" Egwim Returns After Three Years To many it was the end of his footballing career but the beautiful part of the story was that he never stop believing in himself, he is always positive anytime he is being asked, "when do you think to be back to the field of play"? and he will always respond "very soon". That is the story of Ifeanyi Egwim as he returned to the pitch for a competitive football after three (3) years. The 29 years old Egwim sustained the injury Rangers last game of the 2016 NPFL season when he came in as a substitute only to meet a career threatening injury 5 minutes later as he had a serious one-on-one collision with former El Kanemi Warriors goalkeeper Yakeen Kazeem. The Rangers star sustained a fracture on his right leg and serious hamstring on both legs. The electrified Nnamdi Azikiwe stadium lost its current as they were thrown into tears when Egwim was taken off the pitch in an ambulance to the National Orthopaedic Hospital in Enugu were he undergo a successful surgery, and was later flown aboard for further treatment. Since 2016 Egwim never got involved in any competitive football. Enugu Rangers won the game 4- nil to win their first NPFL title in 32 years. The striker had a five minute substitute appearance in Rangers' 2-1 away win over Kwara United in llorin last week Wednesday. Egwim in his speech appreciated the Enugu State Governor in person of Ifeanyi Ugwuanyi who took care of his medical bills and stood by him while the injury lasted. """""""""""""""""""""""""""""""""""""""""""""""""""""""""""""""""""""""""""""""""""""""""""""""""""""""""""""""""""" AFCON Draw The historic City of Cairo on friday host African legends as they came together for the 2019 AFCON draw that was held facing the Sphinx and the Pyramids in the ancient City. The African Nations Cup for the first time since 1996 upgraded from 16 participating countries to 24 countries and also making a swap on the traditional time of January when various leagues are still in very active to June when they are on break. Teams were potted base on the current FIFA ranking released on the early days of this month. Six(6) groups were formed with four teams per group. Countries like Madagascar, Mauritania and Burundi are some of the new names we have on the competition's list as they make their debuts. Group D was termed "group of death" when we saw the likes of Morocco, Ivory Coast, South Africa and Namibia all in one group in which the best two are expected to come out top. My country Nigeria found theirselves in group B with the likes of Guinea, Madagascar and Burundi in which Nigeria is expected to outshine them when the tournament finally kick-off later in June. """""""""""""""""""""""""""""""""""""""""""""""""""""""""""""""""""""""""""""""""""""""""""""""""""""""""""""""""""" A Treasure Gift From a Friend The Russia 2018 World Cup may have come and gone but it's memories still remains. Few weeks ago we saw Paul Pogba giving his teammates the world cup ring that actually looked like the NBA design. I was so proud of him for having such a large heart. I believe that will to some extent help strengthen their team spirit. Mine came last week when a friend a friend of mine by name Temi, drop a World Cup key holder for me, he was like " just keep this one I know you will like it" and I really appreciated that gift. So I hide it inside my box so I can boldly say that my box is now a 'treasure box'. I will actually use that key holder for my first car key because it's no way close to fit into my house keys... LoL... It shines and reflect under the sun as I wish that one day Nigeria will bring the real trophy home. Thank you Temi for refreshing Russia 2018 World Cup memories. That's me happily signing out. """""""""""""""""""""""""""""""""""""""""""""""""""""""""""""""""""""""""""""""""""""""""""""""""""""""""""""""""""" What did you think I missed last week, I would like to hear from you. Thank you.
