@NUFC - Winger Valentino Lazaro Jets Into Newcastle
Austrian international winger Valentino Lazaro sealed a loan move to Newcastle United today and joined Steve Bruce's Magpies on their quest for silverware. The fast & exciting 23 year-old is swapping the San Siro for St. James' Park as he is surplus to requirements at Inter who have just signed Ashley Young from Man Utd. A full Austrian international with 3 goals from 26 games so far, Lazaro be a key component of The Boys' European Championship campaign in the summer and the primarily right winger will be hoping for more first team football at Newcastle. After the electric impact of Allan Saint-Maximin when he arrived in the summer, Steve Bruce will be hoping for a similar level of impact from Lazaro, who turned down a move to RB Leipzig in Germany for The Premier League & Newcastle strikers Joelinton and Andy Carroll will be hoping for some better service. Lazaro who has been given the no. 23 shirt was not signed in time to his Newcastle bow tomorrow alongside Nabil Bentaleb, who made the switch from Schalke this week, but Steve Bruce is thrilled with the signing and said: "Valentino is a quality player who'll add to us in attacking areas of the field, where we need to improve. Lazaro wished his Inter teammates goodbye and good luck in their hunt for the Seria A title via an Instagram post: and said of his move to Newcastle via the club's official website: "I'm very happy to be here and can't wait to meet all my team mates, get out on the training pitch and hopefully get a lot of victories in the future," Lazaro said. "I've only heard great things about the club. I've had good talks with the coach so I feel very happy to be here now. Those conversations convinced me that this is the right place for me to come." Newcastle fans will be eager to see him in a black and white strip soon and he will most likely make his first time debut at home to Norwich in The Premier League next Sat.
