England lost Euro2024 final by far better Spain side with only 2:1. This close result doesn't show what happens on the pitch where Spain literally battered England thanks to their coward manager Gareth Southgate. Spanish side showed the most in this tournament, they played the best eye catching football, while Southgate England showed they can smuggle through group and elimination stage, abuse far weaker part of fixtures skeleton go to the final just not to play football, park bus and wait for penalties. While someone can consider final like success we must ask what did England show in this Euro ? Very big nothing. They were better than Serbian squad in first half and then kept points with luck. They didn't show much vs Slovenia and Denmark too. They should go home vs Slovakia which battered them in first 30 minutes, but luckily in 95th minute they smuggled to next round. They were hopeless vs Switzerland, concede and one lucky shot from distance dragged them to penalties and they smuggled to semi final. They were better than Netherlands in first half, but it was lucky penalty decision that helped them to come to 1:1. In second half Netherland was better, but Watkins had moment of brilliance at the end and they celebrated non deserved victory of 2:1. You can't smuggle entire tournament. If you want to win you need to play something at some point. Moment of truth came against Spain and truth hurts. Spanish squad with 5 Real Sosiedad playes literally battered England with Kane, Saka, Foden, Belingham, Rice, Watkins, Toney ... Nico Williams cook Walker on his side while Yamal did more less similar with Shaw and Guhel. How can that be truth ? First half was more less nothing from both sides, then Rodri stayed in the dressing room and has been replaced. I thought it's significant, England will now be better, but I was so wrong. Spanish wings were unstoppable, they start to create chance after chance and scored in the beginning of second half. They could score 2-3 more, but Pickford saved England with some great saves. I understand you want to put Toney or Watkins in, but when you chase the game and need goal you don't replace Harry Kane! Nothing changes a part from England squad started to play attacking because they obviously got that order from the bench. Game suddenly start to look like equal with Spain being still more dangerous. Then he put Palmer in. I wonder why that player didn't start game ? He's pure quality. One counter attack Belingham returned ball to him on like 18m and Chelsea player did shot form despair, ball touched someone and luckily ended inside the net. That was pure sign what Southgate wanted. Return all backward, let's park bus and wait for penalties. LOL! Spain of course took this gift and returned in numbers on England half. They start to create dangerous situations and finally scored near the end. Football coward then ordered attack again and put Toney in minute or two before the end! They had only chance soon but alas couple of headers were cleared off the line before 100 million pound worth Declan Rice was unable to send it inside the net at the end, but missed goal. By the way he was unable to take ball and pass forward during this game too. How is he worth 100 million and football Gods from Real Sosiedad are not ? LOL! This manager should be sacked today morning. England didn't play anything in this tournament. He has nothing to search on England bench. I'd rather see Potter there in the future.
