Meeting between Sala, Milan and Inter concluded.
Meeting between Sala, Milan and Inter concluded. Antonello: "They are considering La Maura, we have a backup plan outside the city." The two Milan clubs met with the mayor to discuss the future stadium, with the Rossoneri officially informing the parties about ongoing analyses. The Inter Corporate CEO stated, "San Siro remains the main project, but we are also working on another option that we cannot reveal for confidential reasons." This is just the latest chapter in an ongoing saga. The summit at Palazzo Marino on the topic of the New San Siro has just concluded. The meeting started punctually at 9:15 am, as per institutional convocation, and lasted only 35 minutes to try and restore a dialogue that has hit an all-time low. The summit was necessary due to both clubs' obvious desire to pursue alternative projects, faced with continuous delays on the plan that was supposed to lead to the construction of the "Cathedral" designed by Populous. Representing Inter on one side of the table was the Corporate CEO, Alessandro Antonello, while on the other side was Milan's president Paolo Scaroni, along with the CEO Giorgio Furlani, present for the first time at a stadium meeting. Antonello and Scaroni are the top executives who, over the years of continuous delays and setbacks, have kept the new stadium project alive, now so unstable. Scaroni, the first to leave at 9:55 am without speaking to journalists, spoke officially for the first time during the meeting about Milan's decision to withdraw from the main project. Although "The Cathedral" is still an option for the Diavolo, if only for the many steps taken in recent years, they have decided to inspect La Maura, an area full of greenery not far from the San Siro district. Just three weeks for economic and environmental research before making a final decision.

Serie A Preview next week
After the national break and a beautiful and convincing victory of Italy in Poland the Serie A championship returns. As always will be to assess the physical and sometimes mental conditions of the players from the week with the respective national but there will be many interesting ideas in this long weekend of Italian football. Juventus will try to continue the record streak and should not have problems with the Genoa Piatek bomber. Napoli will not be able to do anything but chase it and it will have to do it by knocking Udinese out of the home. The cartel match will be played at San Siro with a derby of Milan that did not appear to be so fought and at high altitude for 10 years now. The desire for Champions League unites the two teams and if Inter are already in the wake Milan would like to tag along. Difficult to make predictions but we all hope it can be a spectacular derby. Frosinone wants to find the 3 points and the challenge with Empoli is definitely the one that most of all could give satisfaction to the ciociari. Chievo- Atalanta sees the 2 great disappointments of this first fifth of the championship. Chievo is into the deep and Atalanta looks like a dull copy of the one seen last year. Rome will have to overcome the grim Spal and Fiorentina at home could try to breathe air from high rankings. The Sampdoria faces the surprise Sassuolo, who in the week received the compliments of his majesty Pep Guardiola. Lazio will try to be a corsair in Parma and continue its run while Bologna and Turin must win the victory to experience a moment of gratification after a stunted start.
