MANCHESTER UNITED CAPITALISES ON RECENT LIVERPOOL WOES
Liverpool has been struggling since the inception of the season with a consistent injury streak that has basically kept their active defenders off the sideline. Manchester United without a real top-notch performance has been able to edge off their bitter rivals. Prior to the F.A. CUP tie both teams met in the league with a goalless draw result which was below par for the millions of fans who stood up expecting a more entertaining game. In the EPL game played last week Manchester United struggled with their attack as they were unable to break through a non-solid Liverpool defence that lacked the presence of Van Dijk and his Defense partner. Manchester United do have a far ahead chance of defeating Liverpool due to Liverpool's current woes especially at their defence in which Burnley took advantage of to beat them in their last Premier League encounter. Well, in the F.A. Cup tie yesterday evening, you can't write Liverpool off completely yet it's expected that a Manchester United first XI should clear off a struggling Liverpool team. Yet, the statistics of the game still have Liverpool enjoy the ball the more with higher Ball possession, passes and a clear off 85% pass accuracy as Against Manchester United's 80% pass accuracy, they both share equal shots played in which on a good day with Liverpool's good form, you would expected more from the reds. Salah came to the party with his good performance on the night but it wasn't enough to save his team as Firmino his partner up-front was rendered powerless by the United's defence. Salah scored twice but would have been a sure victory if there was a defence to obstruct the goals from going in. Fernandes, who came off the bench was the man of the Moment with his stunning Free kick conversion at the 77th minutes led his side to a victory with a too not easy qualification over The REDS. Both sides will be having their second leg tie of the ENGLISH PREMIER LEAGUE come May, we'll definitely see a different game as the reds injured players will be back and then we get to see a more classical Traditional English tie. congratulations to Manchester United though
