Source Have you ever imagined a team scoring a hundred plus goals in a match? That's a 0.01% possibility to attain. Not even when the possible world cup or UEFA champions league winner is playing against highschool boys talk less of when playing against fellow matured and professional sportsmen. Achieving this kind of feat requires a whole lot of sorcery and magical spells. So clearly, you'll just place your opponent under a sleeping spell and score every minute of the game. Practically, it is impossible but yet it happened. We've seen enormous scorelines in soccer like Arbroath beat Bon Accord 36–0, Cueno 20-0 Piacenza, USA 13-0 THAILAND, Flamengo 56-0 Gremio, Bayern München 23 vs 0 FC Rottach-Egern and more but this time around, it was in Hundredth. What a landmark...How I wish I had viewed this game live back then on the 31st of October, 2002, but I was only a kid of six then who can't really tell the difference between a goal and an own goal. However As Adema vs SO l'Emyrne holds the Guinness Book of Records as the highest scoreline ever recorded in the history of football (149-0)....What a wow!!!! Unbelievable, Unthinkable likewise remarkable. Now, what really happened? It was a THB champions league held in Antananarivo, Madagascar. The tournament was played in a round robin format and surprisingly, Stade Olympique de L'Emyrne Antananarivo (SOE) were the defending champion of the tournament 2001. Expectations were high that they'll loft the until again till things fell apart for them in a 2-2 draw against DSA Antananarivo. They lamented on the controversial and late penalty awarded to their opponent by the referee. After all call for help, it looked like the tournament organisers were ready to do nothing. After the resulting draw, As Adema became the new champion with one match to spare against SOE. Source During the final round, SOE took actions into their hands and staged a protest during the match knowing fully well that they have nothing to lose. They kicked off and the proceedings was kicking the ball into their own net...wow!!! what a protest. They kept scoring themselves until the scoreline read 149-0. Players from the opposing team out of astonishment stood still and watched the own goals manifest from every successive kick off. That was crazy man.(#) Source Nevertheless, spectators zoomed off to the ticket booth for a refund of their money. I mean, who wouldn't want their money back after the hilarious display by SOE. In fact, they should be paid a 20% interest for time wasted too. Aftermath of the incident resulted to suspending the coach "Zaka Be" for 3 years and four team players until the end of the season. This was a job Well-done from Malagasy Football Federation(MFF). Will any match be able to break and set a new scoreline record????
